Program Manager

Job Description
Location: St. Louis, Missouri

Taylor Geospatial Engine (TGE) is a non-profit organization with a mission to advance geospatial innovation from academia towards viability in commercial markets. We are seeking a Program Manager to develop, design, coordinate, and lead strategic projects.

TGE’s strategic projects build collaborations across academia, geospatial industry, and enterprise organizations to advance technology, build partnerships, and expose innovation to future investors. The Program Manager will be responsible for ensuring the project goals, participating organizations, and outcomes align with the mission of the organization.

The Program Manager will be responsible for working closely with the Director of TGE to:
  • Design collaborative initiatives that advance technology roadmaps and have an impact on gaps in the realm of geospatial technology
  • Build, document, and execute project plans consistent with desired outcomes
  • Facilitate in-person technical meetings throughout project lifecycle
  • Build strong relationships across the academic community within the Taylor Geospatial Institute (TGI) along with a working understanding of their work with commercial potential
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a field related to the role
  • Minimum of 5 years in the geospatial industry or academia with technical skills and leadership experience
  • Thrives in an environment building and managing a program to meet multiple goals of the organization
  • Enjoys thinking openly, expansively, and with flexibility to generate a plan rather than following a routine process or set of requirements
  • Experienced leading or coordinating projects involving cross-functional groups
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills, along with professional written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
